Karen Tomalin

I craft bespoke fabric freeform quilts and wall hangings inspired by nature.
I enjoy strong colour and bold shapes, influenced by Matisse and the German Expressionists.
I also make fabric applique pictures and stitch art pictures made from discarded fabrics and mixed textiles to create images of our local landscape flora and fauna.
Hares and flowers and trees are often a feature of my work.
