Hannah Wilson

My work is inspired by organic forms and natural processes; both texture and form are integral parts of my work.

I work mainly using coil building techniques, this is a slow controlled methodical process of making.

It is in stark contrast to the fire pit that I use to decorate my work, using my experience I manipulate the smoke to create one off pieces using the clays surface as a canvas. For me as a maker smoke firing adds an element of excitement every time.
